Manhunt 2011-07-08 20-56-56-01

The missions in Manhunt are known as Scenes and there are 20 of them driving the storyline, plus 4 bonus scenes that can be unlocked.

Each Scene is completed by killing Hunters and completing the scene's objectives. Scenes can be failed if the player dies or in some cases, objectives can be failed or an ally can be killed, resulting in scene failure.

Scene music[]

Each scene in Manhunt features a unique dynamic soundtrack system, which consists of several themes:

  • Each piece of musical score starts from the quiet idle theme - this is the theme that plays by default, when no hunters are on alert.
  • If a hunter becomes suspicious, the suspicious theme of the soundtrack will begin to play, which sounds a little louder and more detailed than the idle theme. When having no radar, this subtle music switch from idle to suspicious theme serves as an audible cue, that some hunters are now on alert and are moving to Cash's location.
  • When the player is spotted by a hunter, a spotted theme will start to play, that sounds even more stressed and aggressive.
  • If the player decides to engage in a hand-to-hand or weapon combat with the enemy, the combat theme will play, which is the most loud, intense, and raging soundtrack theme.

If the player then successfully hides from his enemies, after a cool-down period, the idle theme will begin to play again, and the cycle repeats. Each scene also has its own failed and completed short jingles.

Cut Scenes[]

  • Time 2 Die: Originally longer, bonus mission in the final version is only the last segment of the scene. This scene would have taken place between Road to Ruin and White Trash.
