Wooden Bat

The Wooden Bat is a Red Class weapon appearing in Manhunt and one of several Baseball Bat variants.

Manhunt

In Manhunt, it is one of the primary weapons of the Hoods and is the first Red Class weapon introduced to the player. It is also used by some of the Innocentz guarding the Carcer Chem Factory and then, the baseball bat isn't seen again until later in the game where it can be found at the Carcer City Trainyard as an alternative to the Shotgun if the player wishes to execute enemies and keep a low profile from the CCPD and SWAT.

It takes 9 light attacks in combo or 5 heavy attacks to knock down a Hunter with it.

Executions

Note: The Wooden Bat shares the same executions with the Metal Bat and Spiked Bat.

• Hasty: Cash swiftly hits the Hunter on the right side of the face. The hunter turns around immediately only to be killed by getting struck once more on the side of the face.
• Violent: Cash jabs the end of the bat into the Hunter's stomach, knocking him to his knees. The Hunter then looks up and as he does, Cash hits the Hunter on the back of the head, killing him.
• Gruesome: Cash puts the bat across the Hunter's throat choking him until he falls to his knees into near-unconsciousness, Cash then steps to the side and swings the bat onto the Hunter's right side of the head so hard, it explodes into pieces of brain and skull that fly all over the left.

Variants

In Manhunt, the baseball bat has three variants:

• Metal Bat - a metallic baseball bat
• Spiked Bat - a wooden bat with spikes coming out of it (requires trainer to acquire, as it is cut)
• Blackjack - a smaller Blue Class version of the wooden bat.

Trivia

• In Manhunt 2, Daniel Lamb can be seen executing a Bloodhound with the wooden bat in the Origins flashback cutscene.
• A Wooden Bat can be spawned in Grounds for Assault, Divided They Fall and Hard as Nails by using a trainer.
• There was a different model of the Wooden Bat that was cut, it still can be seen in The Jury artwork.
• This weapon has a slightly different texture on the PS2 version.
• The Wooden Bat texture is present on Origins' files indicating that this weapon was in Manhunt 2 at some point.
